		</div><p>A man was rescued after spending an hour trapped in his car as it hung over a bridge in England.</p>
<p>The man’s car was left dangling precariously 20ft above a river after it crashed off the A429 between Wellesbourne and Barford at 5.45am.</p>
<p>West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics found the car had left the road, struck a bridge and was left hanging above the river.</p>
<p>A spokesman said: “Before the patient could be accessed the car was made safe by being securely attached by a tow rope to other vehicles.</p>
<p>“Once the vehicle was secure, ambulance crews treated the man, believed to be in his early 20s, for serious arm injuries and suspected internal injuries.”</p>
<p>Fire crews helped to release him and after being treated at the scene he was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for emergency treatment.</p>
<p>The spokesman added: “Considering the position of the vehicle the driver is extremely fortunate the car did not continue over the edge into the river below.”</p>
