<p>A music teacher is due to admit killing his partner and putting her body in a suitcase, court officials have confirmed.</p>
<p>Lawyers representing Andrew Lindo, 28, told a judge he is prepared to admit the manslaughter of mother-of-two Marie Stewart, 30, whose body was found in the garage of their home in Holmfirth, West Yorkshire, at the weekend.</p>
<p>Lindo was charged with murder after the grim discovery at the house in Perseverance Place on Sunday.</p>
<p>But prosecutors told a preliminary hearing at Bradford Crown Court that a plea to manslaughter was not acceptable and a trial date was fixed for August 30.</p>
<p>The court heard that the issue in the case was one of provocation.</p>
<p>Lindo has yet to enter formal pleas.</p>
<p>Judge James Stewart QC ruled that certain details which emerged in court today could be reported, with the agreement of the prosecution and defence.</p>
<p>Officers found the body after they were contacted by Miss Stewart&#8217;s relatives who were concerned because they had not seen her since Christmas. A post-mortem examination carried out on Monday showed her death was caused by multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma.</p>
<p>Miss Stewart&#8217;s family have said they are &#8220;devastated&#8221; by the death of &#8220;a devoted and loving mother&#8221;.</p>
<p>Lindo was remanded in custody.</p>
