far-right candidate Marine Le Pen said that she wants to &&num;8220&semi;Frenchify&&num;8221&semi; farm aid instead of relying on centralised European Union subsidies&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>She called for a &&num;8220&semi;national agriculture policy so that we can determine ourselves where this aid goes&&num;8221&semi;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Also visiting the farm fair&comma; agriculture minister Stephane Le Foll countered that Ms Le Pen&&num;8217&semi;s push to leave the 28-nation EU and the 19-nation shared euro currency would devastate many French farms by leaving them unable to compete internationally&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He noted that French dairy producers export up to five billion litres of milk annually to other European countries&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;I simply say to the farmers&colon; think hard&period; These five billion litres of milk that are exported to the European market&comma; where will they go&comma; if we close off&comma; and if we kill Europe&quest; Where will they go&quest;&&num;8221&semi; Mr Le Foll asked&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Marching past speckled rabbits and grazing goats&comma; protesting sheep and dairy farmers interrupted the fair to demand delayed EU aid&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;The money isn&&num;8217&semi;t arriving at the farms&comma; and we are in a catastrophic situation&comma;&&num;8221&semi; said Laurent Pinatel&comma; spokesman for the Farmers&&num;8217&semi; Confederation&comma; which organised the protest&period;<br &sol;>&NewLine;&&num;8220&semi;The government owes money to farmers &&num;8230&semi; this is not acceptable&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>No French politician has an easy solution for a money-losing sector that relies hugely on EU subsidies but is important to the fabric of French life&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Centrist independent candidate Emmanuel Macron is laying out his farm solutions in Gennes-sur-Glaize in western France&comma; then will visit the Paris farm fair on Wednesday&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Conservative candidate Francois Fillon is also expected to visit the farm fair on Wednesday&comma; while Socialist presidential candidate Benoit Hamon is expected to be there on Thursday&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Far-left candidate Jean-Luc Melenchon is skipping the event&comma;
