		</div><p>Microsoft has launched a new app for Windows Phones that enables users to sign into their PC directly from their phone without having to enter a password.</p>
<p>The free app, which is called Phone Sign-in Beta, works on any smartphone running Windows 10 Mobile and connects to your PC using Bluetooth. It can unlock it with a tap, saving you from having to repeatedly enter your password.</p>
<p>The app information page calls it “the first step towards a world without passwords” but also specifies that it is still only intended for internal testing purposes despite being available in the Windows Store.</p>

<p>Microsoft already has another password alternative built into Windows 10 – Windows Hello – which enables users to unlock their device using their face and a computer’s built-in camera.</p>
<p>Windows 10 will be the last version of Windows launched by the technology giant, with Microsoft instead saying they plan to regularly update 10 over time. </p>
<p>The company also says it aims to have one billion devices running Windows 10 within two years of release. As of December last year, around 200 million were running the software.</p>
