<p>Dame Helen Mirren has revealed that Russell Brand gave her a special memento from their time working together &#8211; a pair of his underpants.</p>
<p>The Oscar-winning actress said the pair became so close on the set of upcoming comedy Arthur that newly-wed Russell decided to present her with the smalls.</p>
<p>&#8220;I am going to have them framed!&#8221; Helen joked to Us Magazine. &#8220;And put them over my bed!&#8221;</p>
<p>The British stars, who also acted together in The Tempest film last year, still get on famously.</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;re really close friends,&#8221; Helen said. &#8220;I wear the safety pin that he gave me around my neck all the time!&#8221;</p>
<p>It&#8217;s not the first time Helen and Russell have gone public about their friendship &#8211; last year the comic posted a picture on Twitter of the 65-year-old actress giving him a bath.</p>
<p>He tweeted: &#8220;At last. A bath from Helen Mirren. Never has getting clean been more dirty.&#8221;</p>
