<p>Helen Mirren has told a personal story to inspire a group of Hollywood executives and power-brokers at the annual Power 100 Women In Entertainment Breakfast.</p>
<p>The actress, and the US news anchor and Katie Couric, was a featured speaker at the gathering at the Beverly Hills Hotel.</p>
<p>Halle Berry presented Mirren with the Sherry Lansing Leadership Award in recognition of her personal and professional integrity.</p>
<p>Berry lauded her fellow Oscar winner as &#8220;a giant talent&#8221; and someone who has &#8220;conducted her whole life with such grace and dignity&#8221;.</p>
<p>Mirren said her parents &#8220;believed that a girl could do anything and she had the right to try for it&#8221;.</p>
<p>Couric also credited her parents during her keynote address and celebrated the memory of her eldest sister.</p>
