		</div><p>The state-run Nepal Telecommunications Authority (NTA) has revealed plans to create free WiFi zones at the base camp of Mt. Everest, as noted in a report from Stuff.</p>
<p>The free WiFi zones will be introduced to facilitate communicates from Mt. Everest and to assist emergency services during rescue operations.</p>
<p>Mt. Everest’s base camp stands 5360 metres (17,600 feet) above sea level, making it the highest location on Earth at which free WiFi services will be available.</p>
<p>A number of hotels and restaurants in the base camp area currently offer WiFi at a rate of up to $5 per hour.</p>
