		</div><p>Northern Secretary Theresa Villiers has resigned from the UK government, saying she was offered a job by new Prime Minister Theresa May but decided not to take it</p>
<p>She is one of a number of high profile politicians to jump or be pushed, as the Prime Minister puts the finishing touches to the new British cabinet.</p>
<p>There is no place for Michael Gove or Education Secretary Nicky Moran. John Whittingdale has left his role as Culture Secretary.</p>
<p>The biggest surprise so far has been the appointment of Boris Johnson as the new Foreign Secretary.</p>

<p>Philip Hammond has been appointed as Chancellor of the exchequer &#8211; Amber Rudd has been named Home Secretary &#8211; and the new Secretary of State for International Trade is Liam Fox.</p>
