<p>Timothy Olyphant has revealed that Elmore Leonard is not too happy with his character&#8217;s wardrobe choices in Justified.</p>
<p>The actor plays US Marshal Raylan Givens in the FX series Justified, who is known for his trademark 10-gallon cowboy hat. Timothy says author Elmore, whose novels inspired the character, is not a fan.</p>
<p>The star said: &#8220;He keeps telling me to lose it.&#8221;</p>
<p>The actor reckons the TV hat is too Western for Leonard&#8217;s taste and notes that the on-screen character dons it much more often than the book version.</p>
<p>As for Tim, he thinks the hat &#8220;looks cool&#8221;.</p>
<p>There will be more Leonard characters to populate Justified in Season 2, which premieres in the US this week.</p>
<p>The author let the show use material from his upcoming novel about the Marshal, which Timothy says has inspired the show&#8217;s new bad guys. </p>
