<p>Gwyneth Paltrow reckons her character Pepper Potts will not make an appearance in Joss Whedon&#8217;s forthcoming film of The Avengers.</p>
<p>The Oscar-winning actress, who portrays the assistant in Iron Man and Iron Man 2, is unsure whether Pepper would make a cameo alongside her boss Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr), with superheroes Captain America (Chris Evans), The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).</p>
<p>&#8220;No, no Pepper &#8211; I think it&#8217;s a &#8216;for sure&#8217;. I think they&#8217;re starting shooting soon and they probably would have asked me by now,&#8221; she told Collider.</p>
<p>Also starring in the upcoming film would be Chris Hemsworth as Thor, while Scarlett Johansson and Don Cheadle will reprise their roles in Iron Man 2 as Black Widow and James &#8216;Rhodey&#8217; Rhodes respectively.</p>
<p>The Avengers, directed and co-written by Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator Joss, has a tentative release date of May 2012.</p>
