		</div><p>A police operation is under way in a Paris migrant camp that has resurged in recent weeks in a new challenge to French government efforts to tackle the migrant crisis.</p>
<p>Paris police and regional officials said Monday&#8217;s operation was not an evacuation, but aimed at verifying migrants&#8217; documents and sanitary conditions in their cluster of tents.</p>
<p>Footage on BFM television showed migrants pushing back against shields of riot police at the scene in northern Paris, near the Stalingrad subway station.</p>
<p>President Francois Hollande said on Saturday that the Paris camp will be evacuated soon.</p>
<p>Aid groups say some of the migrants recently fled the Jungle camp being dismantled in Calais, though Mr Hollande said most are from recent migrants from Libya.</p>
<p>Such camps frequently surface in Paris, and are routinely cleared out.</p>
