<p>A bus has overturned near Norwich Airport, trapping some of its passengers, the fire service said.</p>
<p>The accident happened on the A140 near Horsford at about 3.40pm today, Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said.</p>
<p>A member of the service&#8217;s control room staff said: &#8220;A bus has overturned, with persons trapped, and efforts are being made to extricate them.&#8221;</p>
<p>BBC News reported that there were 48 passengers on board, plus the driver, and that five people were seriously injured. The rest only suffered minor injuries, the broadcaster said.</p>
<p>A Norfolk County Council spokesman, who is at the scene, said the vehicle was on its side.</p>
<p>&#8220;A major incident has been declared. At this stage there is nobody left at the scene.</p>
<p>&#8220;As far as we can tell at the moment there have been no fatalities.&#8221;</p>
<p>An East of England Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: &#8220;Ten patients have been taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, five in a serious but not critical condition and the other five with minor injuries.</p>
<p>&#8220;We are also checking over a number of other patients at the local village hall.&#8221;</p>
<p>Five ambulances and three rapid response vehicles were sent to the scene, she added.</p>
