<p>Luke Perry says having his former 90210 co-star Jason Priestley direct his new TV film wasn&#8217;t exactly a reunion because they stayed close friends even after moving on from the teen drama.</p>
<p>Luke says he and Jason &#8220;always talk on the phone&#8221; and his other male co-stars, including Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green, were a &#8220;really good strong core group&#8221; while the show aired from 1990 to 2000. He says they maintain close ties to this day.</p>
<p>Luke stars in and Jason directs the Hallmark Movie Channel&#8217;s Goodnight For Justice, which premieres on US TV this weekend. Luke plays a judge in Wyoming in the late 1800s.</p>
<p>He said the friendship and trust he shared with Jason created a sort of &#8220;shorthand&#8221; when it came to filming.</p>
