<p>Katy Perry will guest star on an episode of the hit comedy How I Met Your Mother.</p>
<p>The Grammy-nominated pop star will appear as the naive cousin of Zoey, played by Jennifer Morrison, TV network CBS revealed.</p>
<p>Katy joins the ranks of Britney Spears, Nicole Scherzinger and Carrie Underwood, who have all made celebrity cameos on the show.</p>
<p>It is not yet known when the Firework singer&#8217;s special episode will air.</p>
<p>The CBS announcement comes hot on the heels of Katy&#8217;s double win at the People&#8217;s Choice Awards this week, when she picked up trophies for favourite female artist and favourite online sensation.</p>
