at risk from attacks and looting as the North African state is ravaged by violence&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>SAS troops are understood to be ready to move in&comma; although the Ministry of Defence refuses to comment on the movements of special forces&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Some 500 UK nationals were evacuated from Libya by air and sea on Thursday but about 50 more are thought to still be in the Tripoli area&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>After returning from a four-day tour of the Middle East on Thursday night&comma; Mr Cameron was chairing a Downing Street meeting of the National Security Council on Friday morning&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>That was being followed by a gathering of the Cobra emergency committee&comma; also attended by Foreign Secretary William Hague&comma; Defence Secretary Liam Fox&comma; Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Chief of the Defence Staff General Sir David Richards&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>On Thursday night&comma; the Prime Minister spoke to US President Barack Obama to discuss &&num;8220&semi;possible multilateral measures&&num;8221&semi; against Libya&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The pair also agreed to work together closely on the continuing evacuation of foreign nationals&period;
