<p>A police force has vowed to carry out a &#8220;full and thorough review&#8221; into its involvement with a family found dead at the weekend.</p>
<p>Aram Abdul Razaq Aziz, 32, is believed to have killed his former partner Joy Small, 24, and their two children Aubarr, three, and Chanarra, two, before taking his own life.</p>
<p>Mr Aziz was found at Watermead Country Park in Leicester on Friday evening and the bodies of Ms Small and the children were found at a flat in Jersey Road in the city the following day.</p>
<p>Leicestershire Police have said they are treating the deaths of Ms Small and her children as suspicious, but are not looking for anyone else.</p>
<p>Post-mortem examinations have been carried out on the family, police said, but the cause of death has not been revealed for any of them as results of further tests are awaited.</p>
<p>Leicestershire Police confirmed that the force had had contact with the family in the past and it would carry out a review.</p>
<p>A spokeswoman said: &#8220;In cases such as these where there has been previous police contact, it is the force&#8217;s procedure to carry out a full and thorough review into all previous involvement with the family to enable us to have a full understanding of the history.</p>
<p>&#8220;This, together with the information gathered from the investigation, will then be provided to the HM coroner and will form part of the inquest into the deaths.&#8221;</p>
<p>Ms Small&#8217;s friend and neighbour Jennie Bland, 27, has said Aziz was an &#8220;abusive monster&#8221;.</p>
<p>She said police had previously been involved, and told of one occasion when Aziz poured petrol on Ms Small and tried to set her alight.</p>
