they can range from mild procedures such as micro-dermabrasion, to surgical procedures such as face-lifts, botox shots, chemical peels, and eye lifts. Most women are able to return to their normal skin care routine after a mild, non-invasive cosmetic surgery than after surgical procedures that cause more injury to the skin.

Dr Pankaj Chaturvedi, Sr. Consultant Dermatologist, Medlinks tells us why cosmetic surgery for brides is common. He says, “Women always want to look their best. The wedding day is the biggest and most important day in a woman’s life. She wants to look her best on this day. cellulite treatment packages, abdominoplasty, facelift, skin whitening, scar removal, liposuction and Brazilian butt lift. Many pre-wedding cosmetic surgery packages are available, which help brides to look radiant and picture perfect on their special day.”

After Care

Most importantly to get maximum benefits from your treatments; and to heal without any discoloration you must keep a few things in mind. If your skin is really red, you really have to take special care of it after surgery to prevent unsightly hyper pigmentation. Try to use mild, hypoallergenic products, like non-soap cleansers and fragrance-free moisturizers. Even though your face might be sore after surgery, it is fine to continue to cleanse your skin regularly to aid healing and avoid build-up in your pores that lead to breakouts. It would help to wash with mild astringent pads to cleanse sore areas without applying pressure.

Make sure you are extra vigilant about sun protection. It is best to avoid the direct sun the first few days after your surgery as skin is ultra-sensitive to harsh sun-lights. If you must go out, opt for a sunscreen that blocks alpha and beta sun rays. SPF 30 or 40 is essential, but the sun screens with higher SPF tend to block the pores, so it may be better to avoid them.

If you want to decrease your swelling, it is recommended to regularly use ice or cold compresses, especially in the first few days after your surgery. Also sleeping with you head elevated above your heart will also help avoid swelling at night.

Try to let your wounds heal faster by not picking at your peeling skin or scabs after cosmetic surgery just to speed up your recovery.
