<p>Prince Andrew has paid a visit to British troops in southern Afghanistan this weekend.</p>
<p>Arriving in Camp Bastion in Helmand Province on Saturday, he stayed overnight at the base before going to see The Royal Irish Regiment at Forward Operating Base Shawqat.</p>
<p>His trip also took in the Task Force Helmand headquarters in Lashkar Gah and a visit to the 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.</p>
<p>He met military and civilian personnel serving in the Brigade Headquarters and the Helmand Provincial Reconstruction Team, leaving Kandahar on Sunday evening.</p>
