		</div><p>Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton are celebrating critical victories after primaries in five states that have tightened their hold on the 2016 White House race.</p>
<p>Florida Senator Marco Rubio dropped out of the Republican contest after a landslide defeat in his home state to Mr Trump.</p>
<p>Republican contender John Kasich won the race in Ohio where he is governor.</p>
<p>On the Democratic side, former Secretary of State Mrs Clinton notched up projected wins in the sunshine state, Ohio, Illinois and North Carolina: “If we work together, if we go forward in this campaign, if we win in November, I know our future will be brighter.</p>
<p>“Thank you all so very much.”</p>
