		</div><p>Samsung certainly isn&#8217;t short on handsets, with the relatively recent A7 already getting a sequel in the form of the A8.</p>
<p>The first details have emerged in hands on images, suggesting that this might be Samsung&#8217;s thinnest ever phone at just 5.94mm. That&#8217;s very thin indeed. The A8 features metal accents on the edge, making it look quite like the recent Galaxy S6, though it&#8217;s likely to retail for a good deal less. It has a 5.7 inch full HD display built on Samsung&#8217;s glorious Super AMOLED tech.</p>
<p>Inside there&#8217;s 2 gigs of RAM and a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 at 1.5Ghz. That won&#8217;t match up to the best flagships around but it&#8217;s definitely enough to keep most users going. There&#8217;s a 16 megapixel shooter on the back and a 5MP one on the front and 16 gigs of storage on board &#8211; which you can still expand with microSD. That&#8217;s an interesting addition as the pricey Galaxy S6 doesn&#8217;t include the functionality anymore.</p>
<p>More rumours are circulating about the release date &#8211; tipped for July 17th in China, with a potential international bow later in the year. We&#8217;ve also heard that the handset could be priced at €439 &#8211; which is pretty much expected for a mid-range model, expect it to be fairly competitive on contract.</p>
