<p>Maria Schneider, the actress who starred in Last Tango In Paris, has died at the age of 58, the talent agency that represented her said.</p>
<p>A spokesperson for the Act 1 agency says the French actress died in Paris on Thursday &#8220;following a long illness.&#8221;</p>
<p>Schneider was 19 when she starred opposite Marlon Brando in Bernardo Bertolucci&#8217;s Last Tango In Paris, which came out in 1972. </p>
<p>Brando took the role of a middle-aged American businessman who takes up with a young Parisian woman, played by Schneider.</p>
<p>Throughout her career, Schneider appeared in more than two dozen films.</p>
