<p>New Orleans&#8217; fire chief said a blaze at an abandoned warehouse has killed several people</p>
<p>Fire chief Charles Parent told WWL-TV that survivors said the fire started when people burned wood in a barrel to stay warm. He said they got out through a window.</p>
<p>Mr Parent said the bodies have been turned over to the coroner&#8217;s office. He said firefighters could not tell their age or gender. He also said that cadaver dogs will be brought in in case there were others in the building in New Orleans&#8217; 9th Ward.</p>
