		</div><p>Emergency crews have declared a “significant incident” after a crash involving a smart car and a double-decker bus which mounted a kerb.</p>
<p>A number of people are being assessed by medics following the crash which happened at about 7.35am in London Road, Enfield, north London.</p>
<p>The car’s driver has been taken to hospital, London Ambulance Service said.</p>
<p>Images posted online showed the badly-mangled wreckage of the car in the road and the W8 bus on the pavement.</p>
<p>On its Twitter page, London Ambulance Service said it had cleared a “significant incident” and sent four ambulances, a response paramedic and its hazardous area response team<br />
Police and London Fire Brigade are also at the scene and the road remains closed.</p>
