Wiltshire&comma; by more than 300 family and friends&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The troops from B Company &&num;8211&semi; known as Rorke&&num;8217&semi;s Drift Company &&num;8211&semi; spent the last six months in Helmand and Kandahar Provinces&comma; where they have been holding ground and rebuilding vital communications routes&period; It marks the end of two years of operations for the battalion&comma; first deployed to Afghanistan in February 2009&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In the 24 months since then three members of the battalion have lost their lives and many more have been wounded&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In March 2009&comma; Lance Corporal Christopher Harkett&comma; 22&comma; became the 150th British serviceman to die in the country since 2001&period; Five months later his colleague&comma; Private Richard Hunt&comma; 21&comma; became the 200th&period; Private James Prosser&comma; 21&comma; was killed in September 2009&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A welcome home parade will be held in Cardiff on April 30&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Among the soldiers returning to the UK was Lt Ben Large&comma; who has not seen his four-month-old daughter Annabel since she was born four months ago&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;I&&num;8217&semi;m surprised how big she is and it is good to be back&comma;&&num;8221&semi; he said&period; &&num;8220&semi;Overwhelmed really&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Private Liam Tracey&comma; 21&comma; from Newport&comma; Gwent&comma; was also reunited with fiancee Lucy Delve&comma; 22&comma; and their 21-month-old son Leo&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;It&&num;8217&semi;s been a long tour and I have been waiting for this day for a long&comma; long time&period; I&&num;8217&semi;ve had a lot of spare time to be able to think&comma;&&num;8221&semi;
