		</div><p>A Soyuz space capsule carrying a Russian, an American and a Japanese has successfully docked at the International Space Station (ISS).</p>
<p>The rocket blasted off from a Russian-manned launch facility in Kazakhstan about five hours and 45 minutes earlier and managed to connect to the orbiting laboratory 250 miles above earth.</p>

<p>The passengers, Russia’s Oleg Kononenko, Nasa’s Kjell Lindgren and Kimiya Yui, from Japan, have joined three astronauts already on the ISS: Gennady Padalka, Mikhail Kornienko and Scott Kelly. The latter two are more than four months into a nearly year-long mission on the space station.</p>
<p>The launch was postponed by about two months in April after the failure of an unmanned Russian cargo ship which raised a few concerns about Russian rocketry.</p>

<p>Now aboard, the Expedition 44 crew are getting adjusted to life on the ISS.</p>
<p>This is the moment the existing crews opened the hatch and welcomed their new roomies.</p>
