<p>Spain&#8217;s government has said the country&#8217;s airspace has now reopened after a closure prompted by striking air traffic controllers.</p>
<p>An official with the civil aviation agency Aena said it got the all-clear from Eurocontrol, Europe&#8217;s air traffic agency.</p>
<p>The official said strikers who launched the stoppage on Friday afternoon are returning to work in sufficient numbers to make it safe to fly in Spanish airspace.</p>
<p>The return comes after the government placed the strikers under military authority and threatened them with jail terms under military law.</p>
