		</div><p>Spectre has broken UK box office records by taking £6.3 million on its opening day.</p>
<p>The unusual decision to open on a Monday meant the much-anticipated film, playing at 647 screens, also secured the biggest Tuesday takings ever for a UK film.</p>
<p>The 24th Bond movie beat its predecessor Skyfall which took £6.2m on its Friday opening in 2012.</p>
<p>Spectre subsequently broke the box office record for Wednesday too when it took £5.74m.</p>
<p>It is now on course to beat the £20.1m that Skyfall earned from its opening weekend and helped it become the UK’s highest-grossing movie of all time with a total of £102.9m.</p>
<p>Daniel Craig’s fourth outing, however, has met with mixed reviews and stands at a 77 per cent approval rating on aggregator Rotten Tomatoes versus Skyfall’s 93 per cent.</p>
<p>Jurassic World remains the movie to overtake for the title of UK’s biggest film of 2015, bringing in £63.7m.</p>
<p>However, both will face competition from Star Wars: The Force Awakens when it opens on December 17.</p>
