		</div><p>The UN Secretary General has described the use of starvation as a weapon in Syria, as a war crime.</p>
<p>In a Press conference Ban Ki Moon said humanitarian teams in the war torn country are witnessing scenes that &#8216;haunt the soul.&#8217;</p>
<p>The UN is trying to get humanitarian teams to the besieged town of Madaya to deliver food and medical aid.</p>
<p>Mr Ban said all sides including the Syrian Government must take responsibility for the situation.</p>
<p>“Let me be clear, the use of starvation as a weapon of war, is a war crime.</p>
<p>“All sides including Syrian government has the primary responsibility to protest Syrians and are committing this and other atrocious acts prohibited under International Humanitarian law.”</p>
