		</div><p>Four people suffered &#8220;non-life threatening&#8221; injuries during a shooting Monday during the Toronto Raptors&#8217; NBA Championship parade, Toronto Police Chief Mark Saunders said.</p>
<p>Three people were arrested in separate incidents related to the shooting.</p>
<p>The Toronto Raptors were celebrating with large crowd in attendance for their victory over the defending champions, the Golden State Warriors.</p>
<p>The shooting brought negativity to a city that just captured its first NBA Finals win in its history.</p>
<p>Prime minister Justin Trudeau, Toronto’s mayor and the Raptors players remained on stage while the ceremony was briefly interrupted.</p>
<p>The celebration was briefly put on pause, but resumed after the crowd was informed of the emergency.</p>
<div class="zn-body__paragraph"><em>&#8220;It is disappointing and I&#8217;m sure a source of anger for more than just me that anyone would carry a gun and discharge it at what was otherwise a joyous celebration,&#8221;</em> Mayor John Tory said.</div>

<div class="zn-body__paragraph"><em>&#8220;I hope those responsible will be held to account to the full extent that the law permits,&#8221;</em> he said. <em>&#8220;I want to commend and thank the millions of other people who happily and peacefully celebrated our beloved Toronto Raptors.&#8221;</em></div>
<p>During the parade, Tory presented the team with the key to the city.</p>
