<p>Charlie Sheen&#8217;s off-camera behaviour is a cause for concern, a top CBS entertainment executive has said, but the network is standing by him as the reliable star of a hit show.</p>
<p>CBS Entertainment President Nina Tassler told TV reporters that she&#8217;s given a great deal of thought to Charlie on a &#8220;human level,&#8221; including his role as a father.</p>
<p>But she said the situation can&#8217;t be viewed simplistically, calling him a professional who shows up for work on Two and a Half Men and does his job well.</p>
<p>Sheen&#8217;s sitcom is a hit, Tassler said, adding, &#8220;that&#8217;s all I have to say.&#8221;</p>
<p>The actor&#8217;s messy personal life has included a wild night that left a New York hotel room in tatters and sent Sheen to the hospital, and a guilty plea last summer to assaulting his wife in Aspen, Colorado.</p>
<p>Charlie&#8217;s legal issues haven&#8217;t hurt Two and a Half Men, which has remained part of the Top 20 prime-time shows ranked by Nielsen Co. since the hotel incident last year.</p>
