		</div><p>Giant high street retailer, WH Smith announced that its website has had a second cyberattack and hackers accessed company data, customer accounts including personal information for current and former employees.</p>
<p>The retailer said the said the hack has not impacted its trading activities and stressed its website, customer accounts and customer databases are on unaffected separate systems.</p>
<p> Although it did not state the number of employees that have been impacted by this cyber attack but the group employees around 10,000 staff in the UK across its high street stores including airports, hospitals and train stations.</p>
<p>WH Smith said: &#8220;Upon becoming aware of the incident, we immediately launched an investigation, engaged specialist support services and implemented our incident response plans, which included notifying the relevant authorities.&#8221;</p>
<p>It added: &#8220;WH Smith takes the issue of cyber security extremely seriously and investigations into the incident are ongoing.</p>
<p>&#8220;We are notifying all affected colleagues and have put measures in place to support them.&#8221;</p>
<p>The retail group had a cyber hack less than a year ago after it’s Funky Pigeon online card business was hacked last year, which left it unable to take orders for some weeks in April and over the Easter weekend.</p>
<p>This unfortunate incident comes amid a wave of cyber attacks targeting big organisations in recent months, from Royal Mail’s international postal service to giant high street retail groups. </p>
