<p>Plans to broadcast Prince William and Kate Middleton&#8217;s marriage service live on the web are being considered by St James&#8217;s Palace.</p>
<p>If feasible the screening of the royal nuptials will be featured on a website dedicated to the royal wedding which has just launched.</p>
<p>Fans wanting the latest news about William and Kate&#8217;s big day can log onto the new webpages at officialroyalwedding2011.org to learn about the preparations.</p>
<p>On the wedding day itself the site will be the first place to read about details of the bride&#8217;s dress and other information.</p>
<p>The home-page features the informal Mario Testino portrait photograph of the couple released to mark their engagement.</p>
<p>It also brings together a number of the monarchy&#8217;s social media accounts from the Clarence House Twitter feed, the royal Flickr and Facebook accounts, and the Royal Channel on YouTube.</p>
<p>Content on the site includes information already released about the event such as the venue for the reception &#8211; Buckingham Palace &#8211; and details about William and Kate&#8217;s visit last week to St Andrews university where they studied.</p>
<p>A St James&#8217;s Palace spokeswoman said: &#8220;There&#8217;s been lots of interest in the wedding from the public and the website will be a resource for them to go to.&#8221;</p>
<p>She added that the site will be regularly updated with exclusive content, including pictures, features and videos.</p>
<p>The website is hosted by Google App Engine, which is designed to handle large, global peaks in web traffic.</p>
