		</div><p>WHO announces the adoption of European style Covid-19 vaccine passport as part of a new global digital health certificate.</p>
<p>Making this announcement on Monday, WHO President, Dr Tedros Ghebreyesus says his glad to launch the Global Digital Health Certification Network with EU Commissioner Stella Kyriakides.</p>
<p>He says ‘ This work will strengthen health systems and help Member States better prepare for future epidemics and pandemic’. </p>
<p>The European Union launched the Covid vaccine passport during the pandemic on the 1 July 2021 for all 27 Members States and this is set to expire on the 30 June 2023. </p>
<p>Although the vaccine passports are no longer required to travel in and out of EU as all the countries have cancelled all restrictions.</p>
