<p>Prince William and his bride-to-be Kate Middleton are to make an eagerly anticipated public appearance.</p>
<p>The young royal and his fiancee will attend a service of dedication for a new RNLI lifeboat close to their home on Anglesey, North Wales.</p>
<p>The appearance &#8211; their second engagement since their marriage was announced in November &#8211; is expected to attract scores of well wishers and media crews from all over the world.</p>
<p>Prince William will name Trearddur Bay Lifeboat Station&#8217;s new Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat the Hereford Endeavour. The vessel will be launched during the naming ceremony as the crew demonstrate some of her rescue capabilities.</p>
<p>Clive McGregor, leader of Anglesey County Council, said the young couple would get a &#8220;warm welcome&#8221;. He added: &#8220;It will be nice for them to be seen in an official capacity on the island.&#8221;</p>
<p>The couple have invited almost 2,000 guests to their wedding at Westminster Abbey on April 29. The congregation is expected to feature celebrities, leading politicians, heads of state and royalty from across the world.</p>
<p>Although the names of guests have not been officially released some of those on the list have confirmed they will be attending. London Mayor Boris Johnson has received an invitation as has John Haley, the landlord of the Old Boot Inn, Kate&#8217;s favourite country pub close to her family home in the parish of Bucklebury in Berkshire.</p>
<p>After the service the newly-weds will then return to Buckingham Palace in a carriage along Parliament Square, Whitehall, Horse Guards Parade and The Mall. The Queen will host a reception at the palace, followed by a private dinner and dancing in the evening.</p>
<p>William, 28, and Kate, 29, got engaged while on holiday in Kenya in October. The prince proposed with his mother Diana&#8217;s diamond and sapphire engagement ring. Their marriage will be marked with an official public holiday across the UK.</p>
<p>The prince is currently based at RAF Valley, Anglesey, in his role as a full-time RAF Search and Rescue Pilot.</p>
