The lawsuit alleged that former ZeniMax employee John Carmack, the lead programmer of the original Doom, used computer code belonging to ZeniMax to help build the Oculus Rift headset.

Both Facebook and Oculus VR rejected the allegations and instead claimed ZeniMax was trying to profit from the success of the Oculus Rift.

ZeniMax had sought $2 billion in compensation, and has released a statement indicating the company may seek an injunction to prevent the Oculus Rift from being sold.
