<p>Elizabeth Banks has become a big fan of Russell Crowe after working with the star on The Next Three Days.</p>
<p>&#8220;I just think [he] is the bee&#8217;s knees,&#8221; the actress admits.</p>
<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s a reason he has an Oscar, he&#8217;s one of the greatest,&#8221; she said.</p>
<p>The thriller sees Russell play family man John Brennan, whose life is thrown into chaos after his wife Lara (Elizabeth Banks) is jailed for a murder she may or may not have committed. After an appeal fails, Russell&#8217;s character comes up with an unorthodox plan to reunite the family in the action flick.</p>
<p>&#8220;He was a pleasure and a challenge, it was an exciting thing to do every day to go to work with him,&#8221; she explained.</p>
<p>Oscar-winning filmmaker Paul Haggis directs the movie which is a remake of the 2007 French film Pour Elle.</p>
<p>&#8220;This is a movie for anybody that feels their life is a little out of control, this is a movie that says anybody can take control of their life and change their circumstances,&#8221; Elizabeth says.</p>
<p> &#8220;The movie is about love and this man doing whatever it takes to keep the mother of his child.&#8221;</p>
<p>She added: &#8220;He feels really wronged by the system and the system is broken, there are many innocent people sitting in prison The Innocence Project proves that all the time. People do go to prison wrongly accused.&#8221;</p>
<p>The Next Three Days is released in cinemas on Wednesday, January 5. </p>
