<p>Javier Bardem has confirmed that he has been in talks with Sam Mendes about appearing in Bond 23.</p>
<p>The Oscar-nominated Spanish star said he is considering playing James Bond&#8217;s (Daniel Craig) nemesis in the forthcoming instalment, directed by Sam, and that it would be a tough role to turn down.</p>
<p>&#8220;They&#8217;re changing the whole thing, the whole dynamic &#8211; I&#8217;d be playing Bond&#8217;s nemesis, yes, but it&#8217;s not that obvious,&#8221; he told the LA Times. </p>
<p>&#8220;Everything is more nuanced. It&#8217;s very intriguing.&#8221;</p>
<p>Starring in a Bond movie has been a childhood dream of Javier&#8217;s, who is now a proud dad after welcoming a newborn son with wife Penelope Cruz.</p>
<p>&#8220;I&#8217;m a huge fan of the James Bond saga. When I was little, I went watching Mr Connery doing James Bond with my father. Who in the world would think I&#8217;d be in one of those movies?&#8221; he revealed.</p>
<p>The Biutiful actor, who won an Oscar for his villainous turn as Anton Chigurh in the Coen Brothers&#8217; No Country For Old Men, reckons he gladly leaves work at work once he leaves the set.</p>
<p>&#8220;But who knows? Maybe I will go back home saying, &#8216;I have the world in my hands&#8217;. Evil can be very seductive,&#8221; he added.</p>
<p>Bond 23, which also stars Dame Judi Dench as Bond&#8217;s boss M, is scheduled for release in November 2012.</p>
