<p>Billy Bob Thornton has said he is very proud ex-wife Angelina Jolie has branched out into directing.</p>
<p>Angelina has recently been filming her directorial debut, a love story set in Bosnia, and the Bad Santa star, who wrote and directed his films Sling Blade and Daddy And Them, can&#8217;t wait to see the finished project.</p>
<p>Billy Bob told Total Film magazine: &#8220;I&#8217;ve talked to her several times and boy, I&#8217;m so happy and proud of her because she should be writing and directing. I got a feeling that she&#8217;s gonna turn out something real special.&#8221;</p>
<p>Billy revealed he didn&#8217;t offer Angelina any advice, just support.</p>
<p>He said: &#8220;I don&#8217;t know where I gave her any advice, she&#8217;s way smarter than I am.</p>
<p>&#8220;I just say &#8216;Hey, I hope you&#8217;re holding up OK because I know how hard it is directing a movie&#8217;.</p>
<p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t give her any advice because she doesn&#8217;t need any. But once I get to direct my next movie, maybe I&#8217;ll ask her for some. You never know&#8230;&#8221;</p>
