<p>Russell Brand will ruminate on how the dizzy heights of fame hasn&#8217;t made him happy for an Oliver Stone film, it&#8217;s been reported.</p>
<p>The funnyman, who is married to US singer Katy Perry, has become an international comedy star and heartthrob with roles in Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him To The Greek, but confessed it hasn&#8217;t lived up to his expectations, reports the Daily Mirror.</p>
<p>&#8220;When I was younger, I always wanted to be famous &#8211; I thought it would make me happy, but now I&#8217;ve got fame and some of the things that I thought would make me happy; it ain&#8217;t worked,&#8221; he apparently said in segments for the Stone project.</p>
<p>The 35-year-old continued: &#8220;It&#8217;s just peculiar to me, a lad growing up in Essex, London, that I would attach such importance to becoming famous and things &#8211; and it&#8217;s not all that good.&#8221;</p>
<p>Russell, who next appears with Dame Helen Mirren in The Tempest and Arthur, was shooting a documentary in LA with Albert Maysles and Stone (who is executive producing), which documents a year of his life.</p>
