Prime Minister David Cameron has ruled&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Mr Cable&&num;8217&semi;s Department for Business&comma; Innovation and Skills has also been stripped of responsibility for media competition and policy issues&comma; which are transferred to the Department of Culture&comma; Media and Sport headed by Jeremy Hunt&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>But Mr Cable will keep his job&comma; despite saying he was &&num;8220&semi;at war&&num;8221&semi; with Mr Murdoch in a secret recording made by the Daily Telegraph and revealed by the BBC&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>In a statement&comma; Downing Street said that Mr Cameron made clear to Mr Cable that his comments were &&num;8220&semi;totally unacceptable and inappropriate&&num;8221&semi;&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>A No 10 spokesman said&colon; &&num;8220&semi;Following comments made by Vince Cable to the Daily Telegraph&comma; the Prime Minister has decided that he will play no further part in the decision over News Corporation&&num;8217&semi;s proposed takeover of BSkyB&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;In addition&comma; all responsibility for competition and policy issues relating to media&comma; broadcasting&comma; digital and telecoms sectors will be transferred immediately to the Secretary of State for Culture&comma; Media and Sport&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;This includes full responsibility for Ofcom&&num;8217&semi;s activities in these areas&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>&&num;8220&semi;The Prime Minister is clear that Mr Cable&&num;8217&semi;s comments were totally unacceptable and inappropriate&period;&&num;8221&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Mr Cable said in a statement&colon;
