<p>Detectives have arrested a man over the attack on the Prince of Wales&#8217;s convoy during a protest against student fees.</p>
<p>The 34-year-old has been held on suspicion of violent disorder and criminal damage in connection with the incident in Regent Street in London&#8217;s West End on December 9.</p>
<p>A car carrying the Prince and the Duchess of Cornwall was mobbed by demonstrators who had split from the main protest against higher university tuition fees.</p>
<p>Camilla was visibly distressed after being poked in the ribs with a stick through an open window in the distinctive Rolls-Royce Phantom VI as she and Charles travelled to the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium.</p>
<p>Meanwhile, police have charged another eight people over an earlier student protest which led to the storming of the building that houses Conservative Party headquarters.</p>
<p>Two women, five men and a teenage boy are accused of aggravated trespass in connection with the demonstration at the Millbank complex in central London on November 10, Scotland Yard said.</p>
<p>The seven adults will appear on bail at City of Westminster Magistrates&#8217; Court on March 28.</p>
<p>They are: Belinda Edney, 21, of Fleming Gardens, Nottingham; Samuel Peppersharp, 23, of Alexandra Park, Scarborough, North Yorkshire; Lewis Bassett, 24, of Roseleigh Avenue, Nottingham; Paul Sheppard, 24, of Iffley Road, Oxford; India Harvey, 21, of Kingsnympton Park, Kingston, Surrey; Joseph Jones, 19, of Brownen Road, Bournemouth, Dorset; and Adam Mcleod, 19, of Well Street, Hackney, east London.</p>
<p>A 16-year-old boy, from Hornsey, north London, will appear on bail at West London Youth Court on March 8.</p>
<p>Hampshire student Edward Woollard, 18, was sentenced to 32 months in a young offenders institution in January for throwing a fire extinguisher from the roof of the Millbank complex during the protest.</p>
