		</div><p>Christian Bale is set to play the villain in an upcoming Marvel film, one of the movie’s stars has said.</p>
<p>The British Oscar-winner is perhaps best-known for his acclaimed turn as Batman in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy but will appear as a baddie in Thor: Love And Thunder, according to Tessa Thompson.</p>

<p>US actress Thompson stars as Valkyrie in the film.</p>
<p>Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she said: “Christian Bale is going to play our villain, which is going to be fantastic.</p>

<p>“I’ve read the script. I can’t tell you much.”</p>
<p>Thompson added she has already shared “lots of exciting text messages” with co-star Natalie Portman, who will play Lady Thor.</p>
<p>New Zealand filmmaker Taika Waititi is writing and directing the movie.</p>
<p>It has not yet been announced which villain Bale, 46, will play.</p>
<p>Thor: Love And Thunder is the fourth Thor film from Marvel and was announced during San Diego Comic-Con last year.</p>
