		</div><p>The musical legend, reggae superstar, Jimmy Cliff has died at the age of 81. </p>
<p>His family announced on a post to his Instagram page saying: “It’s with profound sadness that I share that my husband, Jimmy Cliff, has crossed over due to a seizure followed by pneumonia.</p>
<p>Jimmy Cliff was born instead James in Jamaica in 1944 and had a huge impact on reggae music around the world. He was a rival briefly to the late Bob Marley as one of the most prominent reggae artist earlier on during his career.</p>
<p>Cliff began writing music in Jamaica during the time of Jamaica’s independence and his popular songs including; I Can See Clearly Now and You Can Get It If You Really Want, won two Grammys and he was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in 2010.</p>
<p>His work ranging from music to activism for Jamaica earned him Jamaica’s Order of Merit.</p>
