		</div><p>The Eiffel Tower has been closed for the day during nationwide protests across France against plans to reform labour laws.</p>
<p>The company that runs France&#8217;s most famous monument said that<br />
with some personnel taking part in strike action, there are not enough people to open the Eiffel Tower and ensure public safety.</p>
<p>Protesters from numerous sectors will march through Paris later on Tuesday, as the Senate votes on the controversial labour measure that would make France&#8217;s 35-hour working week longer and lay-offs easier. The measure must still be reviewed by the lower house.</p>
<p>The Bill has led to several protests across France in recent months, often involving violence.</p>
