<p>Sir Elton John will perform the induction honours when his long-time idol Leon Russell is ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next month.</p>
<p>The pair are already up for a Grammy award together for their work on last year&#8217;s joint album The Union.</p>
<p>Sir Elton won&#8217;t be the only Rock and Roll Hall of Famer honouring the 2011 class on March 14. Paul Simon will induct Neil Diamond, and Neil Young will induct Tom Waits.</p>
<p>Heavy metal star Rob Zombie will induct Alice Cooper, John Legend will induct Dr. John, and Bette Midler will pay tribute to singer Darlene Love.</p>
<p>The induction ceremony will be held in New York and will be aired in the US on March 20.</p>
