<p>Fifa members can be trusted to choose the best country to host the World Cup, David Beckham says.</p>
<p>As England&#8217;s 2018 bid gathered momentum ahead of the vote on Thursday, Beckham told a news conference that he, along with Prime Minister David Cameron and Prince William, met a number of the 22 Fifa executive committee members involved.</p>
<p>&#8220;I think that we can trust every one of the members,&#8221; he said. &#8220;At the end of the day, they are football people and they are going to want a World Cup in the best country that they think could host the biggest sporting event in the world.&#8221;</p>
<p>He added: &#8220;Everything has been positive so far. We have just been listening to the feedback and what they feel we need to push.</p>
<p>&#8220;We&#8217;ve done everything possible to put ourselves in the best position possible.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s just about putting the icing on it.&#8221;</p>
