<p>Colin Firth says he&#8217;s coping with his Golden Globes nerves &#8220;by not thinking about it&#8221;.</p>
<p>The actor made the confession after receiving his very own star on Hollywood&#8217;s legendary Walk of Fame.</p>
<p>The King&#8217;s Speech is hotly tipped to do well this Sunday, with the film nominated for seven awards including Best Motion Picture, Best Performance by an Actor (Colin Firth), Best Performance by an Actress In A Supporting Role (Helena Bonham Carter), Best Performance by an Actor In A Supporting Role (Geoffrey Rush), Best Director (Tom Hooper), Best Screenplay (David Seidler) and Best Original Score (Alexandre Desplat).</p>
<p>Critics are also tipping Firth as a shoe-in for an Oscar nomination later this month for his portrayal of a stammering King George VI.</p>
<p>The 50-year-old admits he&#8217;s felt a real shift in the level of attention he&#8217;s been getting.</p>
<p>&#8220;You know, if you&#8217;d have asked me that at the beginning of it all I would have said &#8216;it&#8217;s hard to measure, we&#8217;ll wait and see&#8217;, but yeah I&#8217;ve never known anything quite like this. It&#8217;s definitely a shift,&#8221; he revealed.</p>
<p>Director Tom Hooper, who joined Firth for his big moment on Hollywood Boulevard, admitted he was &#8220;a little nervous&#8221; about Sunday&#8217;s Golden Globes.</p>
<p> Laughing, he added: &#8220;It&#8217;s a big weekend, but we&#8217;ll see.&#8221;</p>
<p>With the awards season looming, the filmmaker said he was proud of how supportive his actors have been of each other.</p>
<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s the camaraderie of the ensemble cast which is just fantastic on this film,&#8221; he insisted.</p>
