<p>Fashion designer John Galliano is to face trial over his alleged racial insults.</p>
<p>Prosecutors in Paris said said that the case could take place in the next three months.</p>
<p>Briton Galliano could face up to six months in prison and up to £19,000 in fines, if convicted.</p>
<p>The news came shortly after the 50-year-old designer apologised for his behaviour following his sacking by fashion house Christian Dior as creative director over anti-Semitic remarks.</p>
<p>Video of an drunken Galliano praising Hitler and the subsequent firing of one of the industry&#8217;s most talented and moneymaking designers has sent shock waves through Paris Fashion Week, which began yesterday.</p>
<p>Dior is to show its new collection as planned in Paris this week, despite the sacking.</p>
<p>The company said today the show remained scheduled for Friday.</p>
<p>A spokesman said it was focusing on preparing for the show and would not comment on discussions of a replacement for Galliano.</p>
