<p>Richard Gere is reportedly near a deal to take over from Al Pacino in new film Arbitrage.</p>
<p>The Pretty Woman actor is close to signing on to the Nicholas Jarecki-directed drama, which also stars Eva Green and Susan Sarandon, according to Deadline.</p>
<p>Scarface star Al is no longer attached to the project, about a hedge fund magnate trying to sell off his trading empire.</p>
<p>Shooting is set to begin in New York in April.</p>
<p>Richard recently starred alongside That 70&#8217;s Show actor Topher Grace in the Michael Brandt-directed spy thriller The Double.</p>
