<p>The red carpet has been rolled out in Belfast for a rather gruff celebrity guest.</p>
<p>Gertie the goat was flanked by body guards as she trotted into the Linen Hall Library for the launch of a new novel.</p>
<p>After no doubt striking a lucrative deal, the four legged star was tempted from her pen in Donaghadee to promote Ballydoonan Days: Hesitant hearts and the Wrestling of Goats</p>
<p>The novel is the first work of part time Ballywalter fireman Ivan McKeown.</p>
<p>The 50-year-old`s book, published by Cottage Publications, promises a humorous glimpse of life in a fictional town in the 1970s Ards peninsula.</p>
